Sorry, time for me to brag.  We now have 90 positive reviews on Google and 40 on Facebook!  Not to mention other reviews on Thumbtack, Linked In, Yahoo and countless other sites.  I am proud.  My team and I would very hard to make you happy.  Here are just a few things we have done this past week:

Cleaned and repaired a dead Macbook Pro from water damage
Installed wired and wireless internet at a client's home
Diagnosed and repaired a surveillance camera system.
Repaired various computers with viruses and spyware
Recovered and removed a Windows password
Helped a client regain access to their email after their login was stolen
Repaired and reinstalled ACT! software
Recovered a damaged PST file from Outlook so the client could access their old email.
Recovered data from a failing hard drive

Get faster answers for your computer problems

Of course being a computer repair company I get lots of calls from people wanting either a "quick answer" to a problem or a price quote over the phone.  I am always glad to help with either of these but there are ways you can make that easier for me and faster for you:

1) Have the brand and model number of the computer.  Lots of computers have similar problems but the parts on seemingly similar machines can have greatly different prices.

2) If there was an error message write down or copy the exact error.  An exact message means so much more than an approximate description of what something says. For example "No network found" and "No internet found" are similar but theyare symptoms of different problems.  The more precise you can be the easier I can help.

3) Do your best to be able to outline what you were doing when the problem occurred.  Sometimes the problem isn't your computer but something with a specific program on it.  While this isn't always possible, the more detail you have the easier it is to diagnose.

4) Can you repeat the problem?  If it is an error message, or something not working right, reboot the computer.  Then try to recreate the same problem.  If you can't then maybe the reboot was what your computer needed.  If you can you may be better prepared to tell me the steps that show the problem.

Get Rid Of Windows 10 Ads

In case you haven't noticed (and i consider it hard not to) Microsoft keeps putting more ads on our computer.  All of this started with Windows 10.  It may be just an occasional pop up by your clock or it may be all the offers to click on your screen saver but they can still be pretty annoying.  Fortunately you can make some settings to remove these:

1) Disable lock screen ads.  To do this you will have to turn off Windows Spotlight.  Go to settings - personalize - Lock screen.  Change the setting to picture or slideshow instead of Windows Spotlight.  Also switch off the option to show fun facts and more.  The more is usually the ads you keep seeing.

2) Shut off Start menu suggestions.  Go to settings -personalize - start and switch "occasionally show suggestions" to off

3) Disable Office notifications. Go to settings - system - notifications & actions and choose what notifications you want to turn off.
