I've always called a portable computer a notebook. Recently I had a client who didn’t know what I was talking about when I called her computer a notebook.

Just finished a remote session with a client. Originally they contacted some other web based support company that was advertised on the television. The advertisement is that they will do a computer inspection for $49. After they inspected her machine they told her that is was loaded with viruses and spyware. They wanted over $500 to clean it up. Fortunately she called her daughter who contacted me. I remoted on the machine. The other company had done nothing to clean up the computer. I did a general cleaning. There was ABSOLUTELY NO evidence of any virus. My full cleaning along with a discussion of backups, antivirus and memory increases cost her $50
Just finished a Mac / Apple laptop screen AND inverter replacement $300. Apple quoted them $700 just for the screen
I just had a new customer tell me that Best Buy quoted her over $300 to replace a laptop screen. We charge less than $200
If you receive an email, even if it is from someone you know, that has little information other than a link, DON"T CLICK! The likn will infect your machine and send eamils from you to everyone you know.
Thanks to a new distributor agreement we now offer AVG full Internet Security TWO year license for $75. That’s $14 cheaper than going direct to the manufacturer.
